`I don't like table 2 and I do not want to include it anymore. Also, units in Table 1 need to be consistent, preferably acres.
Additionally, for section "Green Infrastructure (GI) - (N.J.A.C. 7:8-5.3)", I would like each stormwater management practice thoroughly reviewed in this section. For example, if there are five small scale detention basins, I want each one evaluated for compliance including:
Is the drainage area less than 2.5 acres (this does not include the size of the basin)?
Is the construction detail correct (depth of bioretention mix, sand, and stone, and is the geotextile fabric in the correct spot)?
Does it comply with depth to seasonal high-water table (SHWT) requirements? And "seasonal high-water table" only needs to be spelled out/defined the first time in the report then you can use "SHWT."
Was SHWT directly measured during the appropriate time of year or was it estimated from mottling/redox?
Were the soil test pits located inside the basin location and were there at least two test pits?
Was the infiltration rate measured at the correct location and is it greater than 1 inch per hour?
Was groundwater mounding evaluated and does the basin satisfy this requirement?
If the basin is designed to infiltrate, is there pretreatment?
All of these issues and numbers need to be checked on the data sheet, engineering plans, and hydrographs included in the report. DO NOT ASSUME WHAT IS WRITTEN IN THE BODY OF THE ENGINEERING REPORT IS CORRECT. You need to confirm everything.
Allison has completed a very detailed review of the last project she looked at. I will be going over this with her to determine how we can improve our format/template for these reviews. But for now, the items listed above are the ones that are taking me a long time to review. Thanks.
